Sharing the Paradise – Meet the Developer

When I first thought about sharing my getaway, I was torn between giving up my tranquility and never having other Canadians as neighbours, only a few Europeans and some Americans.  When I actually thought about it, I missed having Canadians around. After all, we are the world’s most well liked people! Well, I sure have some neighbours now; in just a few short months we sold out our first development and now have 3 more underway! Thanks to each of you who have decided to join me in this little piece of heaven. I truly hope you will come to love Trujillo the way I have. The people are a country’s greatest asset and Honduras is indeed wealthy. The sun, sand, and consistent year-round temperature doesn’t hurt either.

The property you will be enjoying has a rich history dating back to the 1500s when Columbus first reached the shores of Central America. There are still parts of a road the Spaniards built to move goods inland from the bay nearby. Campamento, which means temporary camp, is what the property was called on the old maps and where the name of the resort came from.  The Spaniards would camp there temporarily before starting their journey over the mountain inland. Caprio National Forest Preserve is the home to toucans, macaws, monkeys, and other tropical rainforest critters. The bay is protected from the weather and is almost always calm in the inner bay which leads to the Guiamaretto Lagoon Preserve, home to mangroves, flamingos, and reportedly manatees. The entrance to the lagoon has an amazing number of starfish along the shallow sand banks.

We have created a buzz of activity in the community. Improvements are frantically underway to the roads, local sewer systems, drainage, potable water distribution, beach facilities for visitors, and more.  We have several developments in various stages of completion. We strive to keep our web site current, so browse through it to view our current release of properties for sale. I’ll keep you informed on the progress of each development here.

I look forward to meeting each of you as we work together to make your dream of a home in the Caribbean a reality.  After 16 years here, I can attest to the fact that it is everything you dreamed of!
Best Regards,

Randy Jorgensen
